Pledge to Sustainability and Giving Back

At the historic Log Cabin Motel in Pinedale, Wyoming, we are committed to operating a sustainable and green lodging property to protect our guests as well as our priceless natural surroundings. We embrace the spirit of community by giving back to local causes that benefit our guests and residents alike.

Green Lifestyle

We use plant-based cleaning products and sanitizing steam-cleaning methods to keep our property healthy and free of toxins. We care for our landscape by hand weeding, avoiding the use of herbicides and pesticides. We select organic pillows, bedding and linens that are sustainably sourced, such as blankets made with wool and organic cotton.

Energy Efficiency & Sustainability

We seek out gently used vintage and repurposed furniture (other than bedding), whenever possible. In all cabins, we have upgraded windows and insulation, installed water-wise shower heads and LED light bulbs to conserve energy. We recycle plastic, tin and aluminum cans and newspaper

Pristine Mountain Water

Our drinking water comes from pristine Fremont Lake. It's naturally clean and treated mostly by infra-red light, so you can feel confident reducing plastic waste by filling re-usable bottles and making coffee or tea with our delicious and clean mountain water!

Supporting the Pinedale Community

Every summer since 2015, we have supported a local nonprofit. For the 2022 season, we are doubling our efforts by supporting two Non-Profits with $1 from each night's stay at the Log Cabin Motel and its sister property, the Gannett Peak Lodge.

Friends of the Pinedale Aquatic Center (PAC) is a non-profit organization that ensures supplemental funding and community engagement for ongoing recreational services and facilities in support of the Pinedale Aquatic Center. The PAC is a great community resource for locals and tourists alike providing classes, after school programs, a climbing wall and two pool areas, one with a water slide, walking pool and hot tub.
