The Log Cabin Motel - A Part of the Old West

Pinedale, Wyoming is the County Seat for Sublette County. Our current population is just over 2,000 people. The elevation in Pinedale is over 7,000 feet. Many people say Pinedale reminds them of how Jackson Hole was 25 years ago. The location of Pinedale is ideal with the Wind River Mountain Range and Bridger Wilderness area as its backyard. Pinedale and the surrounding communities have historically been strongly influenced by ranching, and outdoor recreation has played a role in its economy since its earliest days. Pinedale has the Museum of the Mountain Man, which honors the mountain men and their lifestyle of trapping and trading. Pinedale has hosted the Green River Rendezvous every July for the past 70 years, a celebration of the mountain man era. Fremont Lake, Wyoming’s second largest natural lake is just a few miles from town. The Continental Divide Snowmobile Trail and the Continental Divide Mountain Bike Trail pass through Pinedale.
